He lives incredibly close to me. I could walk to his apartment if I wanted to. He's a cool guy, I look forward to hanging out with him again. I also had a close call leaving his apartment complex, my first of many I presume. I was turning right on red (legal at that particular intersection). I looked left, no cars so I proceeded to turn right. Then a Jeep patriot came out of nowhere, I have no idea how fast their were going. They came about a foot from my fender. It may have been my fault, it may have been theirs, I dont know. I'm just glad no one was hurt and no cars were damaged. But damn that was scary. Stay alert people! I also found out today that the speakers in my truck are aftermarket:

I really do feel bad about the near accident. It shouldnt have happened

It is, Ford's stock systems can do that. Before I installed the 80w system, I had a 12w that would do that.

Ford has really kick ass stock speakers. My girlfriend's Taurus does that and with shake the rear-view mirror.

Figured. I always thought GM's systems were good. Then her Taurus came along and proved that theory wrong.

Mind you, the Boston Acoustics system in her mom's Avenger with literally shake the entire car until stuff starts rattling. If there's one good thing about that car (shockingly there's more than one thing), it's that stereo system. Best factory setup I've heard so far.

I know mine aren't stock, because I put them in myself. When I got the car the door speakers were so blown they'd buzz and crackle even with the bass slider all the way down. I replaced them with a nice set of Rockford Fosgates, and I do intend to do the rear speakers someday but it keeps getting away from me.

I don't think I'll ever do the dash tweeters, that's just way too much work.

My mom's Sienna has the optional JBL Synthesis system and it's pretty bangin'.

I didn't realize you were at the light when you had your close call. I know in the Miata and the GTX I can't see traffic coming from left until they crest that small hill, and by that time they're practically already in the intersection. It may be legal to turn right on that red, but I never do.

Ya, I'm not doing that again. That was actually the first time Ive driven there. I think I'll add that light to my "dont turn here" list
